Weddings at the WBU
Built in 1880, this historic building originally housed a branch of The Workingmen’s Beneficial Union (WBU), a major part of its community for over 100 years. After it was thoughtfully restored by owners Natasha and Bill, the WBU honors its rich past by continuing the tradition of hosting events within its two renovated floors in the 15,000 square foot building.

Planning Your Wedding at the WBU
A custom quote is made for each wedding during a meeting or conference call. To book your event with us, we require a 50% security deposit and a signed agreement.
The First Floor Venue is approximately 2,500 square feet and accommodates up to 120 guests in a cocktail style reception with use of the outdoor space.
The Ballroom is approximately 4,000 square feet and comfortably accommodates up to 190 guests (seated reception with dance floor).
We strongly recommend our Preferred Caterers who have years of experience and the assurance of creating an amazing wedding experience at The WBU. These caterers are seasoned with serving at the venue without a kitchen and they provide exceptional service and incredible food. You may also bring in any outside caterer that can provide a certificate of insurance and sign an outside catering agreement.
Beverage & Bar Offerings
The WBU allows our clients to bring in their own alcohol with the guidance of our facilities manager helping build your shopping list, saving you a significant amount of money. All alcohol is served by our experienced bartenders ($30/hr per bartender with 1 per 50 guests). Our ballroom has a large horseshoe bar that is the MVP of the 2nd floor, smoothly serving up to 190 guests while the first floor has a small mobile bar.

Base rates below are minimum rates for reference however a custom quote will be made for your wedding after details are discussed during an initial site meeting or conference call.
Base rate includes:
- Use of the venue for nearly the full weekend with no other conflicting rentals
- Pre- event and day of support from our Venue Manager/Coordinator (This does not include full day of coordination)
- Thorough cleaning of the venue before and after event
- Guidance on building your bar menu and shopping list
- An eco-conscious consultation
- Use of all standard venue furniture
- The opportunity to stock your own bar for our bartenders to serve
To book your event with us, we require a non refundable 50% security deposit to hold your event and a signed agreement. Within 30 days of your event, we should receive a confirmed list of vendors along with your wedding timeline. Final balance due the week of.
First Floor Venue Rate: $5,600 Wedding Minimum (A custom quote can include outdoor ceremony or cocktail hour)
Ballroom Base Rate: $7,800 Wedding Minimum (A custom quote can include 1st floor/outdoor ceremony location or cocktail hour and wedding lounge)
BYOB feature must also use our trusted staff of bartenders at an additional cost ($30/hr & 1 per 50 guests with 2 hours for prep & 2 hours for cleanup. Minimum of 2 bartenders.)
